Profile[]

Bahamut

Bahamut is the mighty beast who supports the earth. He dwells in a palace of frozen crystal.

His palace is said to stand in a rift linking land and sea.

He is a divine emissary of the Maker--one of many familiar to peoples the world over. Though their names and details may vary, these deities are known and venerated by civilizations of countless lands and ages.

Neo Bahamut

In other words, they flourish through faith.

These divine emissaries sometimes torment mortals and sometimes save them with their extraordinary powers. Either way, their presence is familiar and immediate, inspiring powerful belief.

Bahamut is one such deity.

Bahamut Omega

The Maker's emissaries were originally allegorical figures with no place in the real world.

Yet the colossal beast towering over you now is very real.

Bahamut spoke of the Maker's slumber.
The Maker sleeps, and she dreams.

This is what allows her emissaries to exist.

They are the progeny of dreams.

Recruitment[]

Bahamut can only be recruited during events when his quests are available at the Arena. Bahamut can be recruited from any difficulty, but the items for Jobs 2 & 3 can only be acquired after recruiting Bahamut, and are specific to Evolved and Ultra. Recruitment and special drop odds are as follows:

Bahamut Descended - 20% chance of recruitment if you don't already have Bahamut.

Bahamut Evolved - 40% chance of recruitment if you don't already have Bahamut, or 50% chance to drop Caladbolg if you've already recruited Bahamut.

Bahamut Ultra - 100% chance of recruitment if you don't already have Bahamut, or 100% chance to drop Caladbolg if you've already recruited Bahamut, or 50% chance to drop Caladcholg if you already have Bahamut and Caladbolg. It is not necessary to purchase Bahamut's Job 2 in order to get Caladcholg, you only need to have the Caladbolg.

Farming for SB increase: Bahamut can only be farmed for SB increase after you've acquired Caladcholg. Please note: once you have Caladcholg, recruitment for SB increase can only be accomplished via the Bahamut Ultra quest, which has a modified recruitment chance of 30% after the above criteria have been met; negotiator skills can increase this. Bahamut cannot be farmed for SB increase from Descended or Evolved, as the recruitment chance is 0% after the initial recruitment. Also note that Bahamut's SB increase is only 3% instead of the usual 5% increase.

Trivia[]

  • Bahamut (Japanese: バハムート Bahamūto)
  • Bahamut Descended was first available between October 24-26, 2014. It returned with the release of Bahamut Evolved.
  • Bahamut Evolved was first available between October 31-November 2, 2014. The weapon required to add Bahamut's second job, Caladbolg, is available from this special event dungeon.
  • Bahamut Ultra was first available in a special event dungeon from Dec 26 til Jan 4, 2014. The weapon required to add Bahamut's third job, is Caladcholg (not to be confused with the 2nd job item).
    • Both Bahamut Descended, and Bahamut Evolved returned with the release of Bahamut Ultra. However, the dungeons were changed to a 5-battle format instead the a 10-battle format, and the enemies and difficulties were adjusted to match the Leviathan and Odin series.
  • Bahamut returned again along with Leviathan and Odin between Feb 26 and Mar 4, 2015. [1]
